Help! Snowbound!

Wow...so much snow has fallen! We measured over a foot of snow on our deck and more is now falling as I type. So much so that when Rob went to get some groceries tonight, we found out that our Corolla can't get out of our backlane so we are stuck at home! I love it when it snows. However, it's causing havoc on our Christmas celebrations this year. There's been two get-togethers with friends that have been cancelled already and I have no idea if we'll make it out to our aunt's place for Christmas this year.

Sofia is too young to enjoy the wintery wonderland this year. We did take her out for some fresh air yesterday when the weather cleared up.

I wish everyone a very lovely white Christmas and Happy 2009! I know we will =)

Sexy Beijing

I was browsing the web last night on what else but something baby-related when I came across this very interesting video clip on You Tube titled Sexy Beijing. It is a short clip that mimics Sex in the City; where "Su Fei", a foreigner goes all around Beijing interviewing random strangers about random issues relevant to today's Beijing people. I'm guessing this was all done to hype up the Beijing Olympics and to bring humor and understanding of the Chinese culture for the western world to see. I was very intrigued with trying to listen and understand what "Su Fei" was saying in Mandarin and checking with the subtitles to see if I understood correctly. Her Mandarin was spoken slower than most natives so it made it easier for me to try to understand. I think there is probably a whole series of "Sexy Beijing" that can be found on You Tube. It's a great way to practice your Mandarin! Enjoy!

Where did August go? We are already at the end of summer. I am less than two months away from baby's arrival. Yikes!

NKOTB flashback

Week 25: Baby has been much more active these past weeks, with tiny kicks and tickling from the inside. I find it quite distracting at work which is when she is extra active but it's all good. She also likes to move when I have my laptop on my lap and music playing and when I drink anything cold. Time is flying by quick that I have about 3 months left! So far so good =)

Anyways my coworker sent me an entry from http://www.laineygossip.com/ where she blogged about her 45 min TV interview with the New Kids on the Block! I had such a good time reading it, it inspired me to write tonight haha
