Gloomy Friday

I'm having one of those blah days, the sky is grey and I don't feel like doing anything. Mondays were always the blah days for me, not Friday but today is different. I guess what they say is true that if you start your day off crappy, then it hovers over you for the rest of day. In my case, I started the morning with breast milk spraying all over the couch. Thank God it's leather =P

So to cheer myself up, I uploaded some recent photos of Sofia and here are a few good ones of Rob and his little girl.

Obama Mania

It's a little over the top. Every TV, radio, newspaper and WWW is talking about Barack Hussein Obama II. Yes, I will even dedicate a blog entry to the 43rd President of the United States. He has made US history; to be put alongside the likes of Elvis, J.F.K and yes, even George W. Bush Junior. He brought life and hope back to a country reaming from almost a decade of total erosion in its economy, its health care and education system and total demise from the international community. He isn't just a political figurehead but has ripped through to being an 'A' listers in celeb circles. Oprah adores him, Hilary Clinton joined his presidential team and thumbs up from Bono. Entertainment Tonight pronounced the fashion designers adorn by their new President and First Lady during this week's inauguration. Don't get me wrong, I think this is the best and brightest event to happen to our neighbours to the South in a long, long while. Obama is intelligent, inspirational in his words, a confident leader and just someone that 'gets it'. He has captured the hearts and minds of the young, found hope for all Africian Americans, academics believe in him and he even gets support from all the lefties in the world. Yes, Obama is a leftie (saw him sign using his left hand). Where is our 'Obama' in Canada? We are still waiting for the next Trudeau to arrive... Ok but there is a serious overkill in Obama-hype in the past few days. Let's just move on now shall we to other priorities such as getting out of the current recession?!?

Congrats to the American people for electing change in their country:)

Rainy Vancouver

Vancouver is known to be a wet place. But come on, even this is overboard. It's rained so much that it's caused mudslides into our watershed contaminating our water. We've been told to boil our water for the last week. I don't believe I'm going to say this, but I miss the weather in Toronto. It's cold, but atleast it's not wet!
